Meet Our Children’s Educators

Julie Auriemma – 1st Grade:     “I am delighted to serve as a Sunday school teacher because teaching children of god’s eternal redeeming love is exciting and comforting. I get great joy assisting Parish families flourish in our faith.”

Maureen Davidson – 7th Grade:     “As a practicing Catholic with 15 years teaching experience, I feel that it is an honor and privilege to have the opportunity to share our religion with the young! I look forward to helping teenagers learn about and appreciate our religion. ”

Katherine Gannon – 3rd Grade:     “Being a catechist provides me opportunities to share the Good News with both children and parents while allowing me to pursue my teaching vocation. I receive many blessings from seeing children actively and joyfully engaged in learning and growing in their love and understanding of God and the Catholic Church."

Penney Gentile:     “I volunteer because I enjoy sharing my love of the Lord with His children, as well as passing on our faith.”

Mary Kuhn:      “I volunteered to work with the kindergarten students because I feel I benefited greatly from my Roman Catholic education and I wanted to share the wonder of God's love for us with the youngsters.”

Susanna M. Longhi:      Went to Catholic Elementary School, High School, and a Catholic Nursing College. In the nursing field, she found a wonderful place to serve others and have been able to witness the presence of God in many ways.

Alyssa McGoldrick – 4th Grade:     “I love teaching children about their faith and I try to make it fun so they’ll have good memories of faith formation.”

Lisa Mooney – 4th Grade:     “I have really enjoyed being a part of St. Mary's Faith Formation staff. The children are so enthusiastic to learn and they ask so many thoughtful questions - I love sharing with them the wonderful history of our Church and helping them see how it relates to their lives as fourth graders today.”

Bill Weldon:     “I am volunteering to teach in the St. Mary’s Faith Formation program because I believe that when Catholic or Christian values are instilled in one at an early age, they can provide strength and joy for that young person throughout their entire life. I credit my parents and my Catholic School education at St. Andrew's Avellino School in Flushing, NY with providing me with a strong sense of values which guide me every day.”
